Planniac front desk management software was developed by hotel/resort owners who realized even the best PMS (Property Management System) didn’t come close to meeting the needs of their busy little beach resort.

Energetic front desk employees were not only busy checking guests in and out and responding to reservation inquiries, they were also responsible for booking guest transportation, tours, spa appointments, restaurant reservations, and the like. They wore a lot of hats; reservations, billing, concierge, housekeeping management, even room service sometimes!

Lucky one of the Planniacs knew a little about software development, so he began working on tools to streamline concierge and front desk tasks.

Staff needed accurate information at their fingertips so they’d never drop the ball — and so they’d be able to pass the ball with ease to the next shift.

He also noticed quite a few unintentional, but costly missed charges. How could he be sure every hotel guest was billed for every activity and extra service they requested?

I wanted to be sure that all the hard work the staff did resulted in happy hotel guests, and a happy bookkeeper as well. So I created a way to send charges straight from the Planniac dashboard to the guest folio in the PMS.

A few years ago this idea started taking shape. Now, it’s a web app built from an insider’s perspective.
