User feedback from Pilot users improves Planniac
Resorts using Planniac so far have benefitted from the way our web app keeps details organized and on-hand for front desk staff. At the same time, Planniac has benefitted from the Pilot program by learning more about the unique needs of resorts. For example, one of our Pilot resorts, a jungle lodge, has a lot of groups booking multiple rooms and tour packages. Planniac handles those bookings better than ever. By linking rooms that are traveling together, the resort staff can track group activities but still provide individual guest itineraries. Someone in the group might prefer to “sit this one out” when it comes to a particular tour. No problem for Planniac to keep track of that so the guides know exactly who is and isn’t joining in. Several Pilot resorts have given us feedback on reports and now they are more useful than ever. And one Pilot user in particular, we call her our Super User, loves being the first to report little bugs. There aren’t many, but we don’t want any! Planniac — what the heck does that mean?
Introducing Planniac software. It’s made for managing all sorts of activities in a resort for guest itinerary management and more. We chose this name because it we think it implies the organization and attention to detail that a front desk manager or concierge needs in a busy resort environment. It’s a modern version of the old fashioned planners or organizers we used to use around the office. Some guests also plan like maniacs. They want to be busy, active and organized, from the day they arrive until the day they leave. Your staff, from reservations to front desk to concierge, now have the tools they need to confidently make arrangements for guests. It encourages carefully made plans and bills them correctly to the Cloudbeds folio. And it makes sure they never drop the ball. If your independent resort has 5-60 rooms, use Planniac software to get the details right.
Beta testing begins for guest activity manager for resorts
New software designed to enhance the guest management capabilities of Cloudbeds is entering the market. This software gives hoteliers deeper data management, scheduling and follow-through capabilities that independent resorts need. Many small-to-medium resorts rely on transportation, tours, spa services, and other activities on and off the property to earn extra income. Some guests spend more on outside activities than they do on the accommodation itself. Our software makes it easy for your front desk team to suggest, organize, manage, and bill those activities. It’s packed with features. It also includes a few optional add-ons: A short list of beta customers will have the opportunity to get a free beta account for a fixed period. Pricing is expected to be in the USD $79/month range for a basic account.
